I've had my computer for two years now and have had no problems at all. My browsing experience has always been nothing less than impeccable. I've always frequented youtube.com to view videos. I've never had a single problem viewing videos on youtube.com at all. But for the past three months I have been experiencing strange things on youtube.com. Sometimes I will play a video and it will begin without problems and play without a glitch. At other times I'll play a video and it will stay at 0 seconds for minutes, than advances by 2 seconds every few minutes or so [Basically the video stays stuck and plays in bits and pieces slowly]. I use mozilla firefox to surf the web and the funny thing is some youtube.com videos that won't work on mozilla will work on internet explorer. But internet explorer still doesn't play all videos and some get stuck and don't play just the same as mozilla. I have no idea why this is happening and it cannot be my internet since I have hi speed dsl at 10mbps. I've also never experienced this with youtube.com before and all the videos that don't work for me [which is usually luck of the draw 50/50] work for everyone else on their pcs with lower internet speeds than me . Videos on any other site work for me fine...

What could be the cause of this and how can I fix it?

- Thanks

:)

Hey superstar I am also having the same issue that you are but mine is a little different. With mine I can watch a part of a video and then the stream just stops it also happens to me with downloads. If I am downloading anything I have to keep only that window open and I cant do anything else if a pop up caomes up, an IM from some one, or if I go to a different page even if its just in a new tab not even in a new window. The download or the stream will just stop. It also will happen to me if I have any kind or secondary program running like itunes and it tries to access the internet while the download or stream is running it will just stop. I have tried fire fox and ie and they both do it so I really dont know what to do about this problem. Any help would be great thanks.

Months ago, I had no problem viewing youtube videos. Now I can not view any of them. The thumbnails show up but when I click on them, they go nowhere. I just get a blank video window. I've reinstalled the latest version of windows media player and adobe flasher, and made sure javascript is enabled. I also checked my firewall to make sure it isn't blocking. Nothing works. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, tyvvvm.

Hi Broni, thanks for the suggestion, I'll keep it in mind for future use. I found out it was my firewall interfering with animation and the videos on youtube. I don't know why I didn't think of it sooner to shut my firewall down. Now I just need to figure out how to fine tune it so it doesn't block the videos but keeps the viruses out. Thanks again for the Adobe Flash uninstall url. It'll be handy sometime, I'm sure!
