Issue 1

I have a Windows XP and AMD Athlon XP with Creative 5.1 with Windows 98 as the dual OS.
Lately, when i start my computer into Windows XP, it comes till the list of profiles no problems, but after i enter my password, i becomes really slow, it take a long time ( around 20 seconds ) to come to the desktop.
Although i havent installed too many softwares in my computer, i have Norton.

Issue 2

I installed DFX for Winamp and Windows 9.0 yesterday.
And ever since then, when i reach my desktop, i see 'Mixer' minimised on the desktop.
I am not able to click on it to close and the only way i can close it, is to 'End process' ( mixer.exe ) from 'Task manager'.

Can any one help me please???

Issue 1 could be several things...are you on a network?

Reboot, and then check
start>run, type
eventvwr.msc
look in both applications and system for Red Xs...let's see if something is stumbling at start up.

Issue 2....not sure what you mean by windows 9.0? What happens if you uninstall those two? And minimize to desktop, or taskbar?
