This is the chipset name and generic VIA drivers may not work.
Somewhere on the board will be a brand name (such as Asus, Asrock, Gigabyte, Winfast/Foxconn, Abit, Biostar, etc) and a model number. Google the manufacturer name and on that site find your model number. The sound drivers you need are there.

If you can't find it written on the motherboard, or don't want to open your case, you can try this:
Items in blue which are underlined are clickable to give more information about the process
Download and install Everest Home Edition
Run the programme, click [+] next to Motherboard, then Motherboard (twice).
Look on the right for the Motherboard Name, it should give you the Make and Model.
Look at the manufacturer’s site for the suitable drivers for your Operating System
If you are unable to find them, please post the make and model here before you download anything
Please set a system restore point before you install anything
