EXPLORER caused an invalid page fault in

this message appears whenever my computer startup and won't show any desktop items, you could'nt right click the desktop you couldn't open the control panel but you could go directly to the *.cpl files to open your control panel files, when i click the close button my computer restarts and starts over again..... can somebody help me with my problem tnx
