hi,

my windows installer isn't working,
it always gives the same error: could not acces windows installer service... (etc)

i first noticed this, when trying to install office 2003 (i already have office 2002, but and tryed to install 2003 without uninstalling 2002)

and since then i'm having problems with evry application that uses Windows installer.

I already tried reregistering msiexec.exe
also tried to re-install windows installer 3.1v2
and also tried everything i could find on the microsoft webpage about this error.

help please?

hi, thanks for the reply

i tried every thing on the microsoft pages, that only made it worse
so i had to reinstall

unfortunately i did not have the chance to try dial-a-fix,
it was prolly one of the few things i did not try yet.

But thanks anyway!
