Hi everyone,

I recently bought a new laptop with wireless capabilities. I then requested boadband ADSL 512 connection using a USB modem from my service provider which is all working fine. I now have bought a Linksys router to set up a wireless connection however I am having real problems creating the connection.

My computer displays that there is an 'excellent' signal however how do I connect to my sevice provider using this wireless connection?

Please can someone help as I have spent a lot of time tring to set this up?

Many Thanks

Let's start with the physical

Is your connection set up like this (note: this ===> is cable

====> adsl modem ====> linksys router ====> wired computer

wireless laptop (you need to have your computer hooked up via cat5 cable with most routers to set things up)

Also, what model router

Hi there, thanks for getting back to me: the router model is Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router

I haven't connected the ADSL Modem to the router as of yet. Should this be done & which cable should I be using.

Sorry to sound dumb but it seems I've tried everything
