connection enabled but cant get on web,aol,aim

;) I cant connect my laptop with the web,aim,or aol. windows xp laptop help please any suggestions. connection does show that it is enabled so i need help!! thanks :tazz:

HI, try shutting off your firewall temporarily and try to connect. If you do then you know what the problem was, if not then at least you have eliminated the firewall as a possible suspect.

What kind of connection would this be? Cable/dsl? dial up?

firewall is disconnected and it is cable/dsl connection

Start > run, type
cmd

now type
ipconfig /al

post the first half the ip address
and the first half of the gateway address
