have just bought a new Seagate USB external HDD 320 GB
And a copy of Acronis TI , ive now made a copy image of my system
and disconnected the external HDD from the computer.

Now the silly question …

My computer internal HDD ( 250GB ) has lots of free space

So now I’m just wondering now ive got my new Seagate
External HDD what can I use it for other than my computer
Back up plan, its just sitting there not being used until the next back up
Is done. Its seems a pity not to use it in some other way other than backing up
My computer…

Has any one got some interesting ideas, suggestions, thoughts, on the best way
To utilize my new external HDD better …?

You can format it and partition through the Disk Management in Windows. If you have True Image you can create one partition for backups and another one for pics, photos and music.

you can install os or some programs on it and use it everythere you want (boot from it).

Hi wxp, welcome to Geeks to Go!

For the internal hard drive, you could partition it and use it as a dual boot (i.e. with Linux or something). It's fun, and it would "use" more space :)

Cheers
