HI I have an Athlon (built the computer from scratch) and tried to load Windows XP. It installed a bunch of stuff but then when it tried to start windows it started beeping. I know there are beep codes but these go so fast and there are so many of them I can't seem to figure it out.

At the end of all the beeps, it starts doing just a long high beep and a long low beep. I shut it down and tried it again but it does the same thing.

Any suggestions?

welcome maya, are you sure you have all the right parts installed correctly, could be a memory problem have you tested it yet?
