I just reformatted my PC, and then re-installed windows XP service pack 2.
However i think my audio drivers went out of the window with the format...
my motherboard is SiS 760 and i think there is something wrong with the audio Card on the mother board, well the driver for it anyway, i really need help because i want to hear sounds again:P!

and yea i tried downloading the drivers from their site, i think...

Is your computer an HP, a Dell, Compaq, etc?

Where is the manual or paperwork you received when you bought it. That will tell you?

well my dad said that he got it from a computer faire so ii dont know what it is, the thing is i get an error message saying this when i try to play music:

One last thing.. Did the XP cd come with the computer or with a different one?

There is no information to be seen about audio stuff...

That means the cd is OEM and is nillegal to use on any other system.

The info you need is there but until you get a legal version of XP installed (means you get to go out and buy it), I have to stop support.
