Howdy:

What is the make and model of your system?

Also, have you tried going to the system manufacturers website and getting the drivers from there?

Is your computer an HP, a Dell, Compaq, etc?

Where is the manual or paperwork you received when you bought it. That will tell you?

Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with your sound device. There might not be a sound device installed on your computer, it might be in use by another program, or it might not be functioning properly.

No.. I need to know what your soundcard is.

Download EVEREST and run it.

Copy and paste both the Motherboard and Audio/sound information here.

One last thing.. Did the XP cd come with the computer or with a different one?

That means the cd is OEM and is nillegal to use on any other system.

The info you need is there but until you get a legal version of XP installed (means you get to go out and buy it), I have to stop support.

Sorry,

Murray
