Alright, so basically I have the same issue as this post: http://www.geekstogo...xe-t158484.html. Except that my logfile differs and so Im assuming the solution differs too since it invovles the "BHO" files(which my log file doesnt have). Also nothing occurs once I get to this step stated in the other post "Return to Killbox, go to the File menu, and choose Paste from Clipboard."
This is my first time actually using HiJackthis/Killbox so I might just be making a simple mistake.
By the way, if it makes a difference, Ive been using the shields in "SPYWARE TERMINATOR" which have been blocking any BHO actions.

Heres my logfile:

Also, should I be worried about hackers stealing personal info, passwords, and credits card numbers that Ive used(before infection)?

user169,

Hello, and welcome to Geeks to Go. I apologize for your wait, but we get very busy here. You do indeed have a few issues in your log, so let's get started cleaning you up.

Download ComboFix from Here or Here to your Desktop.
  • Double click combofix.exe and follow the prompts.
  • When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Post that log and a HiJackthis log in your next reply
Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window while its running. That may cause it to stall

Thanks,

sari

I ran ComboFix and a pop up comes up saying "You need administrative privalage to use this tool".
Also while its running errors of "Freeware implementation of REG.EXE has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." constantly comes up.

user169,

Are you an administrator? I haven't seen that issue with combofix before, but it's possible something is blocking you.

Please copy and paste the following text in the quote to Notepad. Save it as "All Files" and name it FixServices.bat. Please save it on your desktop.

sc stop Windows Protected Content Restoration Service
sc delete Windows Protected Content Restoration Service

Double click FixServices.bat. A window will open and close. This is normal.

Please go HERE to run Panda's ActiveScan - you must use Internet Explorer for this to work.
  • Once you are on the Panda site click the Scan your PC button
  • A new window will open...click the Check Now button
  • Enter your Country
  • Enter your State/Province
  • Enter your e-mail address and click send
  • If it wants to install an ActiveX component allow it
  • Select either Home User or Company
  • Click the big Scan Now button
  • It will start downloading the files it requires for the scan (Note: It may take a couple of minutes)
  • When download is complete, click on My Computer to start the scan
  • When the scan completes, if anything malicious is detected, click the See Report button, then Save Report and save it to a convenient location. Post the contents of the ActiveScan report.
Please post the Activescan report and a new hijackthis log.

Thanks,

sari
