You will want to boot to this cd. It will not run inside of Windows. To boot to a cd you will want to consult your Computer manual. What is the make and model of your computer?

Uhmm... The Memtest86 has been running for 20 hours and 53 minutes. Should I be alarmed or just let it keep running? Thanks, Sharon

Ok your memory has failed diagnostics have failed. Your memory or mainboard will have to be replaced. You can stop the Memtest by just turning off your computer. How many memory modules do you have?

TY, I'm not sure how many memory modules I have, How would I determine this? Also, what could have caused this to happen so I might prevent it in the future? Here is the spec sheet of the laptop... I believe the memory is the 2 GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 667 MHz but not sure how many modules that is

I think it is under warranty, basically, everything you see on the order list there... including the warranties, does it mean it will cover this problem? Also, what made this happen? Thanks, Sharon
