My computer is freezing up when I try to download and install windows updates. This computer came from my place of employment because I telecommute, but I use it for everything. During my snooping around I discovered that no updates have been installed on this computer for a very long time. I have tried to download and install these updates and all the computer does after it computes the list of critical updates and I click the install updates button is just sit there like it freezes up and after I click to cancel says windows is not responding. Can anyone help me please? Thank you. This is a hp laptop and is about 1 year old. I am running Windows XP.
