trouble uninstalling nero7

Hey gents and ladies,
I just downloaded nero 7's trial version and it became expired so i tried to uninstall it off my computer and it won't allow me. Says windows has a problem and i must close the program. I have windows vista home basic. Anyone got any clues on how to refresh my computer to get rid of this nero off of it.

Also i'm trying to get some DVD's burned (not illegal versions) and found nero to be the easiest software to burn DVD's but am too poor to buy the software. Anyone have any other free DVD burning rom softwares that are full versions?
