Hello,

Daughter thought she was helping. Said she updated Java. On my desktop I find a file, in properties I see it is - OOo_2.3.0_Win32Intel_install_wJRE_en-US
Is that simply Java update or something I really want to get off?

that actually looks to be an installer for open office which is an open source alternative to microsoft office...you can delete that file if you like as it's just an installer..
