What is the best freeware to use in order to recover my files from a CD please. Is there anything I need to be aware of when trying to recover files?? :)

If you've performed a 'full erase' on the CD-RW i'm afraid you will have little luck getting the data back as the coating on the CD-RW undergoes a chemical change which effectively destroys what was on it. However, if you only did a "quick erase", or a "quick format" (for packet writing), there is some chance you can recover the data, but you'll need to buy the software.
