Everytime I put in a CD and I double click, it comes up with "D:\ is not accessible incorrect function"

I have no CDs for my CD/DVD writer, its defo not broke this only happened a few weeks back, it was working before I did a repair install of XP.

I've been into Device Manager, uninstalled CD drive one and rebooted, still nothing. Any ideas?

Thanks guys! <3

Also every time I boot up windows it comes up SCI/RAID drivers" and it says Automatic install, then I click the reccomended option, and first time it fails, another one pops up and that never completes.

Are these related or not?

Help me out please anyone :)

I really think this is down to a CD being burnt with errors, recently burning some files I was using windows burner method, I'll try Nero see if same happens.
