Just to start, I'm not a really techy person. Yesterday, I noticed that the sound wasn't working and the performance of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion was terrible. I figured this was just something I could restart and fix, or uninstall if necessary. Well, I've tried both of these a few times, and it hasn't worked. This isn't the only problem. I haven't been able to do things such as play MP3's (winamp or WMP), get on AIM consistently (requiring reinstalls), or play any of my Steam games, such as Half-Life 2. This is a big problem, and there's nothing that I know of that could have caused it. I haven't installed any programs recently, and the only thing I've changed regarding my computers is fixing my Belkin router. No, I do not have a firewall for this computer, and yes, I have scanned. I don't know what to do.
