unable to upload pictures

This problem started a few days ago. I have no idea what causes it. But when I try to view images as thumbnails, before I upload them to Photobucket, my browser freezes up, and they are unable to upload, so I have to close my browser. I had KLite Codec, and I did some research, and someone told me to remove it which I did, and it said Xvid codec was corrupted, so I uninstalled it, and reinstalled it, and the problem went away, but now I'm having the same problem again, and I have no idea what to do. It even does this to when I try to view video files as thumbnails before I add them on my video editing software, and it crashes it. If anyone could help me fix this problem I would really appreciate it thanks. By the way I use Firefox, not IE. Interesting fact also, if I don't view the files as thumbnails, they upload, but if I try to view them as thumbnails they freeze.
