I HAVE A COMPAQ 12XL325 LAPTOP , COULD ANYONE OUT THERE TELL ME HOW I CAN DISTHINGUISH BETWEEN A BAD LCD MONITOR OR INVERTER. :tazz:

Not sure what you mean by inverter. To you mean the video controller card inside the laptop?

Most laptops let you simply plug in a regular monitor into the back. You often have to press an F key or another combination to switch from the laptop's display and the external monitor. I can't seem to find your laptop's manual out there so hopefully you have one.

If the external monitor works, then you know your video is fine and most likely the laptop's monitor.
