I have noticed my laptop running slower and slower lately and now freezing alot. I ran a bunch of adware and spyware removal stuff but here's some things I've noted:

1. As I type this, my CPU is at 100% usage - all my explorer.exe. This usually happens within minutes of my computer being turned on (sometimes it shares 50 with Eabserver.exe). When I shutdown, I always have to "end" explorer and eabserver.

2. I have a few (two or three) unusual things in my hijackthis logfile that won't come out... all with the mljklig.dll ending.

3. I have a humungous pagefile.sys (1.2 gig) sitting on my c drive.

Any suggestions as to what to do??

Thanks

A lot of computer slowdowns are because of malware. Not any one or two malware software programs can find everything. I would recommend you let GTG's Malware Experts help you. These guys/gals are great.

Please go to the Malware section of this forum and follow the instructions at the top. Especially the Click Here link. That will give you several steps that will help you clean up most of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the cleanup process you are still having difficulty, and you may not be, then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.

Please be patient as the "Malware Forum" is a very busy place and a two or three day wait is not unusual.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the Malware Section, please return to this thread. Please do not post a HiJackThis log in this thread unless asked to do so and then only as an attachment. To attach log, when requested, either change the .log extension to .txt, or put the log into a compressed (zipped) folder.

Please post back if your problem has been solved.
