Please run Notepad and paste the following text into a new file:

REGEDIT4

[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\*\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\fmtxggyy]

Save the file to the desktop as fix.reg and make sure the "Save as Type" field says "All Files". Then please go to the desktop and double-click on fix.reg, and click Yes to merge it with the registry.

hmmmm... it appears to be at least partially clean, lets see if HijackThis will fix it now.

You are running HijackThis from the desktop. Since HijackThis makes backups whenever you use it to fix something, running it from a temporary folder leaves these backups susceptible to accidental deletion.

To put it in a permanent folder:
Click My Computer, then C:\
In the menu bar, File->New->Folder.
That will create a folder named New Folder, which you can rename to "HJT" or "HijackThis". Now you have C:\HJT\ folder. Put your HijackThis.exe there, and run it from there in the future

Run HijackThis and put check marks next to the following entries:

R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = http://red.clientapp...//www.yahoo.com
R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://red.clientapp...//www.yahoo.com
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchURL,(Default) = http://red.clientapp...//www.yahoo.com
R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchURL,(Default) = http://red.clientapp...//www.yahoo.com
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [QXSJDLL] C:\WINDOWS\QXSJDLL.EXE
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [TANWENC] C:\WINDOWS\TANWENC.EXE
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [etbrun] C:\windows\system32\eliteusc32.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [KavSvc] C:\WINDOWS\system32\vimkrr.exe

then close all other open windows and click "fix checked"

next, open up My Computer and delete the following files (if present):

C:\WINDOWS\QXSJDLL.EXE
C:\WINDOWS\TANWENC.EXE
C:\windows\system32\eliteusc32.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\vimkrr.exe

then reboot and post a fresh log file

You are running Ad-Watch.exe which will not let us make the changes we must make, it must be turned off, try this:
Please disable AdWatch, as it may hinder the removal of some entries. You can re-enable it after you're clean.
To disable AdWatch:
Open AdAware SE.
Go to AdWatch User Interface.
Go to Tools and Preferences.
At the bottom of the screen you will see 2 options Active and Automatic.
Active: This will turn Ad-Watch On\Off without closing it
Automatic: Suspicious activity will be blocked automatically
Uncheck both options. You can enable these after resolving your problem

Download LQ fix from here: http://users.pandora...atchy/LQfix.zip

Run HijackThis and put check marks next to the following entries:

R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = http://red.clientapp...//www.yahoo.com
R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://red.clientapp...//www.yahoo.com

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [KavSvc] C:\WINDOWS\system32\vimkrr.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [QXSJDLL] C:\WINDOWS\QXSJDLL.EXE

Close all Open Windows and click "fix checked"

Boot into Safe Mode by rebooting your computer and tapping f8 during the boot process. Select Safe Mode when it prompts you.

Unzip the file, and run LQFix.bat

Make sure you are set to show hidden files and folders:

Next, Open up My Computer and delete the following files:

C:\WINDOWS\TANWENC.EXE
C:\windows\system32\eliteusc32.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\vimkrr.exe
C:\WINDOWS\QXSJDLL.EXE

I got the Lq fix. Files were not there to be deleted. My adwatch is inactive.
Im gettin pissed. Its been 2 weeks since i started working on this crap. I close on a house tommorow morning and moving this weekend. I really hope we can get this crap off of here befor then. I know you can do it man. I have been able to get rid of Nail.exe, however theres another exe that changes its name, can occaisonally be deleted, but comes back after next reboot. Nail then comes back. I cannot find vimkrr.exe or eliteusc32.exe anywhere in c:windows or c:windows/system32, even when they are supposed to be there. Whats going on man? Why is this thing so friggin stubborn? I am venting, and its not directed at you. Better to type it out on the computer then to take it out on my wife right ? I know your doin what you can Avohir, I appreciate your help very much, and will do my best to be patient.
