Hello, I wanted to know if I could take two computers (XP) one phone cord (no ethernet) and without using a router, or the internet and transfer files from one computer to another. Basicly I need to do this because my computer that has internet access can't burn cds =\ and the one that can doesn't have an ethernet port and I wanted to burn a few files for my friend at school. So, if it is possible to transfer files with a phone cord from one computer to another, how do I do it? I looked a while back before both my computers were hooked up and I saw something about how to do it but I can't find it again and I'm not sure if it would work anyways.

Phone cords are not designed for this.
An easier solution is to either buy an ethernet card (for the machine with a burner) or buy a burner for the machine with internet access.
