Netscape Mail

Why does my Netscape mail icon that I've used for months take me to a Wizard to "Set Up a New Account" rather than open my mail as it should do?

This happened once before and I finally set up an account, same name, password etc, but it was empty of all my files.

Netscape 7.0, XP Home 2002 SP2, Messenger icon. Found a path to Mozilla\Profiles but not to anything resembling the inbox, sent and other folders for my identity. The old files must be stored somewhere. Can I copy them to Outlook or back into a new Netscape Mail?

Any tips this time as to cause and/or solutions? Or a better email client?
