I don't know why but this has been going on for ages and well, I just took note of the Browsers section of G2G. xD

It (Firefox) resets itself randomly, and when it does ALL my scripts' functions and settings, ALL get erased. My bookmarks also get erased too. I got really upset when I woke up this morning.

Can someone tell me what is the problem with my Firefox and how to fix it?

Hello Kelvin,

You may have a corrupted profile. To fix it, perform the following steps:

Close Firefox, then
(in Windows) go to Start -> Run, and enter:
%APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\

Windows Explorer should open. Remove the file 'profiles.ini', and start
Firefox. Firefox will start as if there are no profiles in existence.
Close Firefox, then open profiles.ini in a text editor, and change the
profile path to point to the correct profile. (They should all be one
level below profiles.ini, in \Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\)

For more info see: http://www.mozilla.o...firefox/profile

If you find that the original profile no longer exists, at deleting the
profiles.ini should at least prevent it from resetting after the next
reboot.

Hope this helps,

Ax

Thanks a lot Ax. I'm grateful for your help.

Though, may I ask, what causes this, usually?

Well... it's not that uncommon a problem, my list of 200-odd bookmarks got completely annihilated in the past before as well. Truth be told, I have no idea what causes it.
