win xp, blue screen, hp pavillion 520w

when i start my win xp i get a blue screen that has HP on it , I can get to safe mode but then i get a message that says that windows is by passing my startup files and that as far as i get

Use your recovery media which HP normally supplies to restore your PC's software back to how it was when it was new.

It will overwrite everything on the C: drive which is why we are all being constantly warned to keep backups of our files from 'My Documents'. You do have backups of those I hope?

There are at least 2 accounts in safe mode can you get into either of them?

actually the only thing that i can get to is the safe mode by pushing f8 as it is loading but then it says windows is now bypassing your system files and the just below that it says not reading drive g and then it has a A:\ , and then it will not do anything else. I hope this helps with your question.
