IE 6.0 Won't display any pages

Hello,

My girlfriends pc won't display any sites in IE, the message "the page cannot displayed" only dissapears. But she is connected to the internet, she can chat on MSN just fine for examlpe.. I have tried cheking her internet options with mine, and they seem to be the same.. Does anyone know what could be wrong?
