I have just installed MS Office 2007 on my notebook. Today I tried to open Excel and it gives me the error message:

This application has failed to start because MSVCR80.dll was not found. Re-instaling the application may fix this problem.

I've already installed the disc..and I don't feel like using up one of the 3 liscenses that I bought. Is there a site that I can safely download the file "MSVCR80.dll"? I need excel for a presentation....I was going to make a chart or graph and then send it to powerpoint for a presentation Monday.

I put the disc in and it runs off the disc. Is there a way to extract the right file (MSVCR80.dll) off the disc?

Please help! I need this program somethin' awful!

Hello des1o,

I don't think you'll use up a license to reinstall the application. Basically what you can do is a repair install on it and maybe that will fix the problem. If not, try uninstalling it and then reinstalling it from scratch.
