i asked a friend about it and he said to go to control panel, system, Advanced, performance, advanced again and adjust the virtuol memory range. Which i noticed it was below the recommended range. THen i tried playing the game again i get another blue screen of death this time it says "DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL".

can anyone shed any light on any of these?

My guess would be that there is a problem with your graphics card. Maybe you could try updating the driver or uninstalling and reinstalling it.

This can also be caused by bad ram. Since you have 4GB of ram, remove 2GB and run for awhile and see if the problem occurs. If yes, swap the ram. If you get it to run without the BSOD then the ram not in the computer is defective. You should be able to return it since it's a new upgrade.

I like it here! Knowledgeable, courteous people who treat the people asking for help here with consideration. Not true in a lot of other forums.

Definitely check that you have the latest drivers for your video card from nvidia.com and also check that your RAM is good with a utility like memtest. Another leading cause of this particular error is heat so be sure your CPU is running under around 50-60c under load and that your graphics card is adequately cooled. Let me know if you need a hand with anything I've mentioned.
