hey
well now that im up to my head in computer problems, maybe its just better to upgrade...

so im thinking of upgrading 3 things:

Mobo
Cpu
Gfx

im on a tight budget here, since im a student, unless i convince my parents to pitch in a few hundred $
im going to be buying from canada computers.

ok so here are a few questions.

Mobo:

I have an old one, http://www.fryssuppo...et/p4vxasd2.cfm
now, i want my new one to fit into my case, will this one be the same?
im thinking of this new one
http://canadacompute....306&cid=MB.157

any other mobo suggestions appreciated

Cpu:
im thinking of going for this one.
http://canadacompute....190&cid=CPU.84

GFX:
this is my choice
http://canadacompute....id=999.243.272

now, this is all for a grand total of $500 without taxes which is pretty much what i can afford at this point
also, im gonna need a new psu, i might be able to fork around $50 more for it..any suggestions? please make them from canada computers though.

i want this upgrade to last at LEAST 3 years

i want it to be able to play current new titles: CoD4/Bioshock/CRYSIS etc
and newer titles incoming (Assasins creed) and new games over the next 2-3 years.

any suggestions?

NICE!! Another Canadian that buys from my favorite store.
One problem, I can't see any of your links, they all go to the main page. However I am buying the Gigabyte P35-DSRL which is very good and cheap, I think it would suit you as well. Also video card I would go with another site since Canadacomputers doesn't seem to have a lot of options, maybe PCVONLINE.COM will have some, try mainly looking for a cheap 8800GT or HD3870. For CPU you can't go wrong with the Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 Socket LGA775 .

Buy from www.NCIX.com. They'll price match any other canadian retailer if you can find a cheaper price elsewhere.

I think he just wants to pick it up in town then wait for it to ship. Thats the only reason I would buy from Canadacomputers or PC Village, or else I agree NCIX rocks.

Yes, but waiting a week (for it to ship) to save $100+ is a good idea, in my opinion anyways. Not only that, but NCIX has a much greater selection of parts.
