Is there anyone that could help me with a simple task?

I am building a project with visual basic and don't know how to put an activation code in my project. I want the user to be able to activate my project during their install. Kinda like how microsoft makes you place a 16 digit activation code in their software.

Can anyone help?

Thanks in advanced

Is there a way to have a startup page that I could ask for a product key code (tied into a database) that only starts up the first time the user installs my program?

Do start up pages have to start up each time or is there a way I could have the start up page just once?

Thank you in advanced
