I am wanting to use this 3 second video clip to make an avatar in the gif format, but i am unsure how to do that. Could someone please give me a hand. i uploaded to my webspace here:

Any help is appreciated.

PS.. the size needs to be about 1 1/2 times the size of my current avatar on this site.

I'm not sure of how to really compress this image (and also how to enlarge it), but it's what I can do for you.

AWESOME.... thats what i'm looking for, but would it be possible to just trim out most of the purple background and make the dude in it bigger?

Here it is with the dude taking up most of the window if that would be easier for you... whichever you think will look better

PS... what software are using to do this with? Freeware would be grand!

I made both for you, so you have the choice :)

Anyway, I didn't use software. I used a website, so it's pretty big :/

Look for the 'convert video to animated gif' on the sidebar.
