I want to log on to my internet banking but a dialouge box comes up saying the security certificate has run out. So I go through the commands for installing one and it tells me I have been successful but when I go to log on to the bank it comes up again that the security certificate has run out! Can any one explain what's going wrong?

The URL will start with https:

If you have web-based email, or purchase anything on-line, it's usually accessed through a secure site.

Please note: I've merged your topics as I suspect they're all related to malware on your system.

Let us take a closer look at what is running on your PC. We'll need you to use a free diagnostic tool (HiJackThis) and post a log back here with the results.

Click the HijackThis Guide in my signature, download it and follow the instructions in the guide.

Most of what it lists will be harmless or even essential, DO NOT delete or modify anything yet! Someone will be along to tell you what steps to take after you post the contents of the scan results.

I dont know this computer because I recently bought it off a friend and she is even less up on technoligy than I am so it wont be any use asking her.

I don't see anything suspicious in your log. Please run a free online virus scan here:
http://housecall.antivirus.com/

And a free trojan scan here:
http://www.moosoft.com/

Let us know if anything is found. <_<

You might get this reply twice, apologies if you do.
I did not have any viruses but the clean up couldnt complete because of the following two dialogue boxes.
1. A required .DLLfile C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\IMAGEHLP.DLL was missing or could not be found
and
2. Error unable to execute file C:ProgrameFiles\The Cleaner\cleaner.exe
Does this make any sense?
