My worst nightmare has happened. One of my twin Hard drives has had to be removed, due to a disk read error occurring. I am now using my remaining hard drive. I had backed up most of the files, but only up until early October, my mistake I know. The drive contains around 150gb of data.

Can anyone suggest the quickest and cheapest way of getting the files back, that wouldn't involve sending it to a lab etc. Is it possible to fix it another way.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Run Scandisk on it. May fix it for long enough to get what you want off it.
