There's a connection so I can hook it up to my laptop and use it as a monitor. Is there some sort of a way that I can reverse this and hopefully record myself playing 360?

If you have a VCR or DVD RW attached to your Television, simply record as you would if Recording the TV, I think that would work anyway.

Worth a try.
