Hello,

my HP 530 laptop came with Windows Vista and
I've installed XP instead of Vista... but I'm not
able to find the apropiate graphics driver for it.

the graphics driver Everest found with Vista was:

"Mobile Intel® 945GM/GU Express Chipset Family HP 530 driver"

but it seems it's only available for Vista,
and the "Mobile Intel® 945 express chipset family" driver
does not work

I've tried the drivers in the HP web and Intel web but without success...

any help would be appreciatted :)

thanks in advance

Howdy and welcome to GTG:

More and more system manufacturers are using hardware that only have Vista drivers available.

Very possible you got one of these.

Also, by downgrading from Vista to XP, you may very well voided your warranty.

Hi Murray!

Yes, it seems that's my case:
it seems there's NO XP driver for this graphics adapter...

thanks for your answer any way

Luis, I would recommend that you restore Vista then if you really need XP, install it as a Dual boot. Then if/when a video driver is made available for XP (unlikely), you can install it.
