I've tried everything in Windows' troubleshooting guide and cannot get my computer to emit sound. I've recently had the hard drive completely wiped clean. I reinstalled Windows XP Professional a few days ago without a hitch. However, after examining all speaker connections, volume settings, etc., I can't fix the problem. When I go into Sounds and Audio devices from the Control Panel it says that there is no audio device.
Please help!
Thank you.

Howdy and welcome to GTG:

Have you installed the soundcard drivers yet?
