I read somewhere that I should go into Device Manager, uninstall all the USB devices and then scan for hardware changes so that all the drivers would be reinstalled. I did that, but now the problem is the opposite way round: the bottom USB port recognizes the cardreader, but the top port does not!
Other USB devices (e.g. my 1 GB USB stick, and my digital camera, etc.) are always recognized on both ports.
Using DriverGuide.com, I have discovered that my USB drivers are out of date. How can I find new drivers on Internet and install them? (N.B. Please tell me step-by-step in plain English, I am neither a computer nerd nor a GEEK, but a novice, quite wet behind the ears! )
Here are the details:
Intel® 82801EB USB Universal Host Controller - 24D2
Intel® 82801EB USB Universal Host Controller - 24D4
Intel® 82801EB USB Universal Host Controller - 24D7
Intel® 82801EB USB Universal Host Controller - 24DE
Intel® 82801EB USB2 Enhanced Host Controller - 24DD
USB Root Hub (6x)
All help will be greatly appreciated!
Happy New Year!
