Leopard Upgrade to MAC not working

I've been trying for days to get this Leopard upgrade to upload but it just freezes for hours and does nothing. My MAC is worthless unless I can figure out what is happening. Can someone please help me? It's a brand new Mac.

oh man...what model is it? put up a link to the model page and a more detailed description of when it freezes?
