I think there is a virus or something ( a worm), that is messing up my computer. I tried to reformat but yet there is still a problem. I have mcaffee but maybe like every 40 hours it will have a virus alert pop up saying that this virus is deleted, but if its deleted how come it keeps coming up.

The virus is called like W32/sdbot.worm, and variants. Some simptums are the svchost.exe will run at 99% CPU. Whenever I go in ANY program, to the 'save as' thing, where it opens the mini explorer, it always locks up that program and i have to end task. That include's internet explorer so that means i cant save files. So i basically cannot save any files, download files or anything.

I dont see how the same warm alert and everything can still be here even after I did a reformat. I just dont get it, I have been trying for weeks and weeks now to fix this, and it is really starting to affect my work.

If anybody can help me fix this worm or virus or whatever it is please do so! Thank you

I expect that after you reformatted that you did not have a firewall and did not have your patches from windowsupdate.microsoft.com. It is easy to be reinfected in less than 10 minutes on the net.

Could have become part of the system restore set, turn system restore off, click start then search then type prefetch you may need to include hidden files, open folder and delete contents, click start then run then type %TEMP% then press enter, open folder and delete contents, go to internet options delete temporary internet files including offline content, clear cookies then history, run disk clean up then run panda scan, it will disinfect, when clean, turn on system restore

Ok I did the deleting %temp% thing, the temporary internet files. and the other thign you said.

Thank you for letting us know, Panda is worth bookmarking as it updates a lot.

If you do not have them then ad-aware se, spybot search and destroy and spywareblaster are good from spyware section of list.
