Have had vista home premium for a good few months now and have been more than pleased with it, and even more pleased that i havent had any compatibility issues with any of my hardware or software,,,,,,, that is until now ! ! Typical.

My printer 99% of the time wont print a thing. I have just replaced all the ink catridges at great expense and now find that its not working. Its recognised as the default printer, vista installed the drivers from " in box " and i have even installed the latest drivers from epson,,yes,, the vista drivers !
Its an EPSON R200.
I havent used it since i moved over to vista but didnt think it would be an issue as its on the compatibility list.
Its all installed correctly,, cables are fine,, ink is fine,, correct settings in the preferences,, it prints one page out of about 60 trys,, every other time an error box comes up saying that there is a partial compatibility issue with vista ! !

I have installed ,, uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times,, same problem.

To compound my anger and frustration,, i have just inserted a CF card from my nikon digital camera to transfer the pics on it to my pictures folder.
This wont work either ! !
The usal options box asking what you want to do with these files doesnt come up at all, and on closer inspection, by looking in "MY COMPUTER " the disk and dvd drives are all there recognised , but none of the card reader disks are there ! ! ? in xp i had drive C and D as my disk drives,, then E and F as my rom drives then G to K as the differnet slots on the onboard card reader,,,, G to K ,,,,these have all dissapeared.

Have tried 2 other types of card,, but nothing happens,, its as if the card reader doesnt exist.

Please,, if anyone can shed any light on these 2 issues i would be delighted to hear from them.
Many many thanks,, kev

According to Epson this printer has no problems under Vista. Therefore try another USB port.
Card readers are standard plug-and-play devices and should present no problems. You may need to enable Legacy USB support in the BIOS.
