NTLDR is missing. Help

Hi. When i turn my computer on i get a black screen with the message ' NTLDR is missing. Press Ctrl & Alt & Del to restart. then it restarts and its the same again. I put my windows disc in to try and fix i get stuck on missing boot.ini file. Its on windows xp home sp2. Could anyone please help? Many thanx. Chris
