pop ups

hi, i keep getting pop ups as soon as log on to the internet,i have blocked pop ups but they still keep coming up ,my daughter got a new laptop for xmas but as soon as she logged on she got pop ups not as bad as mine can anyone help ?( they are doing my head in )
