Hello hijackers,

I've had trouble with smitfraud.c. I thought I fixed this problem with your guide. But there seems to stand more problems.
Any idea?.

Print out a copy of these instructions so that you have them when you need to reboot.

Firstly please carry out a free online virus scan from the following link

Panda Active Scan

Next please download the following two programs. Install them and update them both. Then run each one and have them fix anything that they may find.

Spybot Search and Destroy 1.3

Ad-aware S E 1.5

Next download and run the following program

Download CWShredder here to its own folder.

Update CWShredder

* Open CWShredder and click I AGREE
* Click Check For Update
* Close CWShredder

Boot into Safe Mode:
Restart your computer and as soon as it starts booting up again continuously tap F8. A menu should come up where you will be given the option to enter Safe Mode.

Now run CWShredder. Click I Agree, then Fix and then Next, let it fix everything it asks about.

Press Control-Alt-Del to enter the Task Manager.

Click on the Processes tab and end the following processes:

C:\Programme\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
Exit the Task Manager when finished.

Open up HJT and rescan and Place a check against each of the following, making sure you get them all and not any others by mistake. Some of them might not be there as they will have been removed in previous stages of the sequence. This is normal so do not be alarmed

Ensure no other windows are open and click on fix checked.

Set up your PC to show hidden files (click link below if you do not know how)

Show hidden files

Using Windows explorer find and delete the following files/folders

C:\Programme\ISTbar
C:\WINDOWS\system32\svcnut.exe
C:\Programme\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe

Reverse the proceedure of show hidden files

Boot PC normally and clean out temp files and junk using the below program

Cleanup

Rescan with HJT and post the log back in this thread
