Outlook Express and default address book

I cannot create mail nor send/forward mail without MS 2000 SR-1 Professinal attempting to download. I cannot find the original MS 2000 disk. I caused this prblem when I tried to set Outlook Express address book as my default. How do I correct my error and return to using only Outlook Express?
