Hi, I just got a new laptop today. Never had one before. Anyway, here's my question: If I was to close my laptop while the computer is on, what is happening to my computer exactly? is it going into Hybernation mode, or what? Thanks for the help!

Most are set to hibernate when you close the lid, this can be changed in power options in the control panel

Are you talking about what happens if you put the screen down into carrying position as if you were about to get ready to travel somewhere? If that be the case, I don't know know what would generally happen. Usually your supposed to hit the standby "power" button on the laptop and it would send it to sleep, but I'm not sure if that is the case when you close the screen.
