Dear all,

I have recently been getting an error message from outlook 2003 0x80042108 'Outlook is unable to connect to your incoming (POP3) e-mail server

Tried the following without success:

1. R&R email account and outlook profile
2. No Norton firewall but disabled windows firewall just to check
3. Tried it in safe mode, still the same error
4.Tried service pack 3 for office 2003
5. Disabled AV
6. Tried detect and repair outlook and repair office
7.Recreated same email account on a laptop, works fine

Neil,

It is not the provider, i can recreate the account on other pc's no problem. Its specific to 1 machine only for some reason.

Hi evryone,

i couldnt find a solution so had to rebuild the pc, all is fine now.....until it happens again :)
