hi i've been playing at a site called wgcenter, one day went to click the games icon on my desktop and got an error saying there is no program or application path for this website so i went to techs on game site asking for help...they suggested i try reinstall program. I have tried reinstalling the program several times with no luck. The files download fine but soon as I try opening the game site I get a blackbox come up....c:/windows/system32/cmd.exe, then an error message says cannot access site, no program files.......i open the folder where its installed and the main file that runs the program is not there, what can i do......is this a virus, have run multiple virus scans and malware to clean it, also run registry cleaner in hopes that may rectify the problem...i am running xp home edition, have not had this problem before with the gaming site, I have been playing there for 2 years now...any suggestions would be much appreciated

Shaz, you already have an open topic in the Malware Forum. Please wait until you get a clean bill of health from the Malware experts and then if you are still having problems return to this thread.

In the meantime, as it is now well and truly longer than three days, I suggest you start a new thread in the Waiting Room. Please give your topic a brief title and in the Topic Description box write "Malware". Please give a very brief description of the problem you are having with your computer, note the correct date of your original topic and provide a link to your original topic in the Malware Forum. I understand you do not know how to provide a link to your topic. Please follow the instructions below:

Before you open the new window for your new thread in the Waiting Room, go to your original thread in the Malware Forum. In the address box at the top of your browser (it will say: " http://www.geekstogo.com/forum/Comp-crashi...235.html"), right click on the address and select copy.

Proceed to start a new thread in the Waiting Room.

When you are ready to add your link ensure the curser is located where you wish your link to show.

You will notice you have two lines of formatting and other functions above the space in which you type.

To the right of the smilie emoticon there is a button with a green cross on it (if you hover your mouse over it ... it says "insert link"). Click on this button. Depending on your browser settings you will either immediately see a new small window with "Script Prompt. Please enter the full URL:" or you will be prompted to allow a scripted window - in this case accept the scripted window and the Script Prompt window will immediately appear.

Right click in the box and acitvate the paste function and the copy of your original topic's address will be placed in the box. Click "OK" and you will then be prompted to enter a title - you can call it "link" or "original topic" or you can just right click again, activate paste and the address of the topic will be the title. Click "OK". To see how it will look in your thread, press the "preview post".

Please remember our staff are all volunteers and have lives outside the forum (such as families, friends, careers, jobs, studies). They freely give of their time and knowledge to help people for free. Please be patient and courteous.
