so i try to install quicktime and it's telling me that there is an error and can't open

Hkey_local_machine/software/classes/quicktime/playerlib.quicktimeplayerapp/clsid

so i try to change the admissions in REGEDIT, but it said access is denied.

any ideas?

sorry for the late reply, while i was trying to fix it i messed up my registry completely!! now my computer isn't able to open any .exe!! so now i have a new problem, how do i fix my registry, i tried doin windows recovery but it didn't work

well thats certainly not good news. at this point I would try a windows recovery of xp.
