Yahoo & MSN Beta Messenger merging problems.

I wonder if either party plans on fixing this Beta meesenger problem & am wondering why they decided to let both merge.I`ve had nothing but problems since I upgraded both & I`m hearing others are having the same problem.There really isn`t anyone to complain to about this.One example is that when i activate my msn & IM my girlfriend we can talk for a short time & then we can`t see each others responses after a time.Causing confusion.Making each other wonder if the other is there.And she says I`m showing up as offline even though it says i`m online on my computer.When she IM`s me on MSN a Yahoo window opens up & we have np problems.Which is strange because she doesn`t even have a Yahoo Messenger account. Anybody else out there having Messenger upgrade problems.I`ve tried everything.Uninstalling & reinstalling & running my AVG protector.And I`ve also tried defragmenting as well.
